Summary
In recognition of Canadian indigenous contributions to music, CBC Music created this interactive long form piece to highlight artists through several decades. The colours were taken from the illustrations created by the Art Director, Ben Shannon and each decade was given a different colour theme.

The design and build
"60 Years of Indigenous Music Game Changers" was built with separate decades in mind. The overall design approach was to use illustrations of the artists with archival photos, videos, testimonial quotes from other artists and animated music instruments.
Each decade can be collapsable to create a non-linear experience for users to further boost user engagement and session duration.
Impact
Blood: The Stuff of Life posted within the top 10 digital CBC stories according to Adobe Analytics. It won an Honorable mention at the Webby Awards.
